who is to blame for this democracy?

Three journalists for Al-Arabiya television, including a well-known woman correspondent, Atwar Bahjat, were kidnapped and killed today while covering sectarian violence in Samarr

the Americans/West did not kill them - their own countrymen did. why? becasue they tried to cover the news objectively?

one could argue that this would not have happened had tthe americans not preemptively invaded iraq and ignited a potential civil war

but hindsight is 20/20 - whoever is to blame, Atwar's sister and mother have lost their vivacious girl - what could bring her back? Such an irrevocable & unbearable loss. And the world loses a rare professional and objective journalist

heartbreaking...

not to forget the American journalist, Jill Carroll who remains kidnapped to this day

I think death in general is bad. To put blame on anyone in this time frame would do nothing to bring back the people who have died. What I think is more sad is that we have to go through these extremes to fully appreciate all life.
