Christian Science Monitor reports that while Gen. Peter Pace says things are going 'very well' in Iraq, John Pace, former UN-Iraq human rights chief, say abuses are as bad now as under Saddam Hussein
so many viewpoints...so many angles...so many agendas...so many interests...
and who does it serve in the end?

'Going very well' is, of course, a relative term. Does the journal mean 'going very well' compared with how we expected it to be by this stage when we invaded in 2003, or does it mean 'going very well' compared to the worst case scenario? I suspect the latter case is more accurate. As for who is being best served, I suggest not the children shown in your picture. I did read the other day, however, of a wealthy businessman who had made his fortune on the 're-building' of Iraq. Things were 'going very well' for him. I cannot confirm, however, whether or not he has ever stepped foot inside the country.
The controversy is not abt who did it and when it happened...the reality is people are suffering...and its sad ..very sad!!!!
Just imagine when we have a good life...good education food shelter...what did they do for not to deserve...
sad!!!
"rebuilding" Iraq?? don't get me started! :-)
Dawn - agreed - and that's what matters to care enough for people just because they are human - and it could have been any of us
