last day of conference - co-chaired a session on cryptography, walked down "the strip", caught another show, made the red eye flight, got the middle seat at the back of the plane - oh the life! ;-)
Santorini?
Roma?
Paris?
No! It's all at the Las Vegas Strip!

I love the Las Vegas strip. Everyone says it's cheesy but I marvel at how much money and creative energy is put into it. Last time I was there I made sure to walk the whole length of it and spend $1 in each casino. It took about five hours and I was a bit poorer at the end but it was a lot of fun.
i especially enjoyed the $2 steak dinners with "keno" placemats.
hey, how come no detour to beautiful northern california? you always have a place to visit here (by the same token, we'll be in kennett square in late september, for my dad's 80th birthday celebration - close, but no w.e.o.)

Mr Angry - Las Vegas is a good trip to a land of nowhere and it takes a few days to adjust to reality. I actually enjoyed the Vegas Strip - especially the fountains of Bellagio. Hope you are doing very well.
Caco - my dear friend, i have been remiss of my Picturesque Monday duties - but I am now back and it would WONDERFUL if you would sumbit some pictures. Feel free to e-mail me anytime. How was your trip. I will be dropping by on Saturday to hear all about it :-)
Candancimmm!! Where do they make such friends like you? With a friend like a you, a girl is all set in life. Yes I came home to my fridge fully stock with the most vegetarian meals and containers of bubble tea. Many many thanks! Why not join me tomorrow for some brunch on the porch? And then we shall go to see Mamila's first painting exhibition! How wonderderful - so many congratulations to our beautiful friend!

Lovely pics of the sights. I haven't been to Las vegas since I was 8 and needless to say I didn't appreciate it much back then!
