for me, it's mourning doves. there is a flock in my town that moves from one neighborhood to another on a regular schedule throughout the year. each spring, near the equinox, they appear at sunset on the black walnut tree in my backyard, and hang out there for a few days before moving on to the redwoods next door.
Tom! It is said in an ancient cultures that birds have instincts humans don't. Is that true? I don't know but I do know they only hang out inplaces where they sense safety.
And then there is some English saying (you know how those English are): birds of a feather flock together. So how exactly does that stand against "opposites attract". Now this is a minor question, but it matter, n'est pas? ;-)

About the saying "birds of a feather flock together". I agree, I do think that people tend to drift towards people with similar values, likes, dislikes... Opposites attract, but do they last? In my experience - no.
Cris - agreed - with respect to human interaction and relationships, people of similar goals and interests tend to work best together. The opposite is an exercise in futility, -in my experience also.
Ultmately it comes down to being true to oneself - only then is it possible to recognise people of "similar feathers".
As for opposites attracting - there is fire and water as a fizzing example
we here also believe ladybirds brings luck ıf ever we ever see one we try to catch it delicately put it on our palms and sing fly fly lady bird your mother will get you a boot if you fly well .So then if she walk and fly from one of your fingers we believe that it brings you luck.if you make a orange one fly then you will be more luckier as it is rare.and pendants with ladybirds are very popular...
