Paul Jewell's side appeared set to gain sweet revenge for their 4-0 Carling Cup final hammering at the hands of Manchester United eight days ago, but alas, Manchester United won the day - again....deserving or not....
Not sure about Fergie's reasoning to bench Ruud - but the man has been United's Manager for 20 years while I have approximately 0 years of football team-managing experience...
Still - all is well that ends well - though I must admit, my heart was forlorn for much the time as I watched my beloved first rate team play a second rate game...
On behalf of relieved United fans everywhere, we thank Pascal Chimbonda - our hearts are with you...
