Wednesday Wanderings ... Poetry in Motion ...
... ok, for Wednesday Wanderings, I am going to spend exactly 5 minutes (I promise ;-)) and write a random poem dedicatd to my "fearless blog" friends:
Somewhere, anywhere, where I would be
If only you could see, what I can see
If only you could know what it feels to be me
Perhaps of this cruel intolerance we could be free
But who knows when, where, how or why
In this lifetime that belongs to you and to I
Why we don't see eye to eye
Because really, I could be you, and you I
(12:53 to 12:56)
.... this was inspired by Caco raising the topic of intolerance ....
Music Recommendation: "Anthem" by Moby from the Miami Vice soundtrack (2006) - nothing like the music from TV but very unique and appealing
Movie Recommendation: "Chocolat": Juliette Binoche & Johnny Depp - magical, beautiful, uplifing, light, lovely (2000)

Starting at 9.00 a.m :)
In scotland ,during the early years of aviation, a stunt pilot was selling rides in his single-engine airplane. One day he got into an argument with an old farmer who insisted upon taking his wife along on the ride-at no extra charge .LOOK said the pilot finally ,I ll take you both up for the price of one if you promise not to utter a sound throughout the entire trip.If you make a sound the price is doubled.
The deal was made and they all clambered abroad. The pilot then proceeded to put the air craft through maneuvers designed to make the bravest tremble. But not a sound came from the back, where passengers sat.Exhausted ,he set the plane down.
As the farmer climbed out the pilot said ı made moves up there that frightened even me,and yet you never said a word. You are a fearless man.
I thank ye replied the scotsman. But I must admit that there was once time when ye almost had me.
And when was that asked he pilot ,
The farmer replied ,That was about time time my wife fell out!!!!
Finished 9.11.a.m couldnt brake the 5 minute record of yours but mine was little bit long please teacher do not brake my marks:)))
...so this guy prefer money instead of people...
-if you like Chocolate, I ve recommend almost all the songs from Django Reinhardt
also a lot from Tal Farlow
yep, swing those eights baby!!
I haven't heard Moby's music in Miami Vice... I like him, will check it out...
Chocolat... it is magical!! Good movie to watch (again) after my finals :-)
Oh - it is unbearably hot here today, I am hoping there are no power outages where I live, I think I would die!!!!
the new Miami Vice was filmed here in Uruguay...in Montevideo and in a beach called Atlántida...
trying to be like La Habana in Cuba...(Uruguay is totally different that Cuba) with a Chinese girl trying to be a Cuban girl! this is just so stupid...
Moby is awesome. I was at his place in New York, called TeaNY and he was the most downright coolest person ever.
Although I don't really listen to his music I became a fan because of what he stands for in life.
Your poetry should be published somewhere.
Excellent poem. Thanks for thinking of "us".
that would have taken me a week to write. nice.
Nazlıcımmmmm where are youuu??????
Beautiful poetry... you are a surprisingly gifted doctor.
I am checking out your song recommendation (I have just downloaded Moby's 'why does my heart feel so bad?').
Chocolate was so underrated - once again under the sign of tolerance (or the lack of it).
Enjoy your week.
"Why does my heart feel so bad" is one of my favourite's Caco...
Caco and Cris - just downloaded "why does my heart feel so bad" - breathtaking! Thanks for the recommendation.
Caco - thank you for your words on my words ;-)
Hope you are doing so well!

Candancimmmmmmmmm! here I am, my sister! back from my swim from the river.
How are you my beautiful friend? Warmest wishes, hugs and kisses to you!
Nazlicinnnnnn
Oh Joe! No! A few minutes at the least - i read your blog and your writing enough to know!
How are you doing? Fishing, sunning, summering? ;-)
Keep well my worldy friend
Nazli
Paul - thanks! :-) I truly feel that my fearless blog friends, like you, rock the blogsphere!
Hope you are changing the world with your rebelious, fearless ways ;-) Keep very well!
Nazli
Jeff - I am actually listening to "in my heart" by Moby as I write this comment. I have always liked his music even before he became part of popular culture. He does stand for true democracy and expression of all views and that only adds to his appeal.
My dear Jeff - how are you? I know you are rocking NYC with your stunning ways. I was in NYC on Tuesday and what an adventure as always ;-)
Keep well Jeff because you add incomparably
Nazli
Fernando ;-) I watched Miami Vice. All I can say is that it was good as long you don;t think about it logically. When I was little I used to just watch movies and never think about the sequences and consequently I enjoyed even silly movies - Miami Vice was like that - just fun entertainment ;-)
And the music was good.
How are you? Have you been riding your bike through Atlántida? :-)
Fer - I will check out Django Reinhardt and Tal Farlow. I gave some consideration to " swing those eights baby!" and I still don;t understand what it means ... I am missing something ;-)
Cheers for now,
Nazli
Cris - how are you my lovely friend? Here it is bout to rain I think ... but the weather has been mild and refreshing so far.
How were your final exams?? You must be really enjoying your vacation before Fall semester! I hope so! relax, enjoy hve fun - work can wait till next month!
Keep very well and beautiful as always!
Nazli
Caco - you are class.
Candancimmm - too funny about our flying Scottish farmer and his wife!
Thank you so much again for inquiring about my well-being - life is good with a sister like you.
As I mentioned in my e-mail to you - be safe and be fearless, especially in the danger zome of the world you live in - and may all good things and peace always be with you.
More hugs!
Nazlicinnnnn
...Nazli! yeah I had been riding (bike, not surf. there re not good waves)) in Atlántida..
is in the pass to Montevideo..70 km before
...ultra basic MUSIC:
1 bar for ex in 4/4 is [1 2 3 4] 4 beats per measure. quarter note= one beat
1 is the strongest. 3 too. 1 and 3 normally downbeats (bassdrum) 2 and 4 upbeats.
1 bar in 3/4 is [1 2 3]. 3 beats per measure. quarter note= one beat
1 bar in 6/8 is [1 2 3 1 2 3]. 6 beats per measure. eighth note = one beat
lot of etc
so: if you take 1 bar and X 8 = 8 bars
you ll have straight eighths bars, but in swing and blues oriented music, or some rock, country rock, etc the swing or shuffle rhythm is very commonly played even when regulary straight 8 s are written
swing eighths sound like eighth note triplets with a tie between the first 2 notes in the triplet (I dunno how to notate music here ...)
anyway, written music IS NOT the same like play music. music is not a brick!
The 'class' post was written after coming across that picture with which I fell in love at first sight.
By the way, I watched V for Vendetta today. There are a lot of 'what if's in my head now and some inspiration for a forthcoming post...
Cheers and enjoy your weekend.
Fernando - thanks - that was a lot of unseful and interesting information from a very interesting person!
in the indian subcontinent they do not write music - they play from the "ear and heart"
music is a world on its own ...
thank you again for the explanation
Nazli
Caco - "V for Vendetta" took my breath away with its concept. but the frightening thing is that it is not inconceivable - a world of fiction and fearfulness that people accept out of fear
