It is depressing when someone who did so much good in leading his people in throwing off the repression of the Rhodesian regime becomes just another in a long line of corrupt dictators.
true - for 10 years he was the epitome of effective leadership - and then the terrible trend ... on a hopeful note, Nelson Mandela is the counter example
